Staff Profiles

Judy Hinshaw – CPA

Judy is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Compliance Officer. After receiving her Bachelors of Science degree in Accountancy in 1993 from the University of Illinois, she passed the CPA exam in November of 1995. She enjoyed acquiring experience with accounting systems and databases early in her career, but felt drawn to working with small businesses and individuals. Judy started doing bookkeeping and payroll in 1997, worked for a tax business for 7 years, and in 2011 opened her own accounting, payroll, and tax business. In 2016, she and Lisa added ambulance billing to the services that they offer. She looks forward to providing assistance to current and new clients for many years to come.

Judy is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and regularly attends continuing education classes to keep up-to-date with changing regulations. When she’s not working, Judy enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, working on their farm or showing cattle at local, state and national shows.

Lisa Jackson – Certified Ambulance Coder, Ambulance Billing

Lisa performs coding and billing for Ambulance services through Hinshaw CPA Office. She has been involved in billing and EMS for several years. Judy and Lisa Started the Ambulance billing side of the business in 2016. Lisa is certified by the National Academy of Ambulance Compliance (NAAC) as an Ambulance Coder and Privacy Officer (HIPAA). Outside of the office Lisa stays busy with her family and enjoys crafting and Camping.

Jenny Lawyer – CPA, Accounting, Payroll

Jenny is an Accountant, prepares payroll for businesses, and is a proficient QuickBooks user. She received a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Economics/Accounting from the University of Illinois in 1993. Jenny passed the Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant exams right after college. She has worked in the Accounting field with both small and large businesses for over 20 years. She enjoys being an accountant because it allows her to help others learn how to use and understand their business financial information. When Jenny is not working, she is spending time with her family – either on their farm raising livestock or cheering on her children in their extracurricular activities.

Teresa Kennell – Tax Professional & Manager

Teresa is a Tax Professional at Hinshaw CPA Office and is a certified notary. She has been preparing taxes since 2003. She enjoys helping clients understand and plan for taxes, and enjoys getting to know them personally. In 2010, she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Eureka College. She keeps current on tax law changes by attending tax school and earning a minimum of 15 hours continuing education each year. Teresa is also a member of the Eureka Rotary Club. When Teresa is not working, she is spending time with her family and spoiling her four grandchildren. She loves gardening, quilting, attending flea markets and auctions.

Lisa Jo Lindley – Office Admin Professional

Lisa Jo is an Account Receivable Manager, Office Assistant, and a certified Notary for Hinshaw CPA. She comes to the office with 31 years of banking experience and has held her Notary license for 28 years. Lisa Jo enjoys the customer service relationship she has built over the years, as she is the Treasurer for the EPIC group in El Paso (formally known as the El Paso Chamber of Commerce. When Lisa Jo is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She also loves to travel.


Angie Castleman – Payroll Professional

Angie is a Payroll Professional at Hinshaw CPA Office. She began her working career in banking and moved into payroll in 1998.  She enjoys the challenges of payroll and learning new skills involved in accurately paying employees.  She is a member of the American Payroll Association. When Angie is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and weekend adventures with her husband and their friends on motorcycles.
